Features of the procedures.

The first 2-3 procedures should be performed in zone 1. Then the zones are alternated sequentially.

Number of leeches: in the first sessions, the number of leeches is gradually increased from 2 to 4-6. Depending on the intensity of the pain syndrome and its origin, in some cases the number of leeches can be increased up to 10 per session. In this case, it is advisable to remove the leeches without waiting for their dropout after the first signs of free sucking appear.

Number and frequency of sessions: for intense pain and pain at rest, it is advisable to perform the first 3-5 procedures daily until the intensity of the pain syndrome decreases. Then the procedures are carried out every other day for 3 procedures and another 3-4 - once a week. The course of treatment is 10 procedures. After 2-4 weeks, depending on the patient’s condition, the course of treatment should be repeated.

Combination with other methods of naturopathy: hirudotherapy should be combined with a long-term (up to 3 months) intake of cardiac herbal collections.
