Hirudotherapy for allergies

Allergy refers to a wide variety of body conditions and diseases caused by a disorder of immune reactions. Allergy manifests itself in many different ways (neurodermatitis, urticaria, bronchial asthma, allergic colitis, nephritis, vasomotor rhinitis, etc.), all these conditions of the body have a number of common causes: hereditary predisposition, violation of the body’s cleansing processes, abuse of drug therapy. Allergy is accompanied by a disorder of microcirculation of the lymphatic and venous systems. As a rule, allergic reactions are manifested through the skin and mucous membranes.

  • Cervical zone - two points (10 and 11) at the lower edge of the occipital bone two transverse fingers outward from the midline, point 12 under the 7th cervical vertebra along the midline and two points 2-4 centimeters to the left of it (points 13 and 14), and point 1 above the thyroid gland.
  • Lumbar zone - point 15 along the midline at the level of the 2nd, 3rd lumbar vertebrae and two points two transverse fingers outward from it on both sides (16 and 17).
  • Hepatic zone - the area of the right hypochondrium (points 4, 5, 6) and point 3 at the top of the xiphoid process.
  • Upper abdominal zone - points 7, 8 and 9 two transverse fingers outward and upward from the navel.
  • Sternum zone - point 2 along the midline at the level of the attachment of the V rib.
  • Sacral zone: point 19 at the top of the coccyx and in the sacral region - points 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.

Peculiarities of the procedures.

Procedures are carried out once or twice a week, sequentially alternating zones depending on the clinical condition of the patient and the severity of the process. They will give a good effect with the correct identification of the localization of venous and lymphatic disorders and the selection of action zones (hepatic, intestinal, sacral). Points 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 are included in any course of anti-allergic treatment.

Number of leeches: the number of leeches per procedure is determined by the severity of the process - with an exacerbation of 2-3 leeches per session, with a fading process or in remission - up to 5-6.

Number and frequency of sessions: as a rule, 2-3 courses of treatment of 6-8 procedures are carried out.
