Acute and chronic hemorrhoids, anal fissures

As a rule, the appearance of enlarged hemorrhoidal nodes is one of the manifestations of general venous insufficiency. Chronic hemorrhoids are often complicated by thrombosis of the hemorrhoidal nodes. Treatment of this disease with lotions and suppositories alone is ineffective. A complex of local and general procedures to reduce venous stasis is needed. The use of leeches gives significant results.

Treatment of hemorrhoids and anal fissures

Leech application zones.

  • Perianal zone (around the anus), the area of thrombosed hemorrhoidal nodes.
  • Sacral zone: the end of the coccyx (points 9, 20), the projection area of the sacrum (points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Peculiarities of the procedures.

In acute thrombosis of a hemorrhoidal node, a leech is placed directly on the node, which leads to a rapid reduction in pain and resorption of the thrombus. This is an excellent method of treating such uncomfortable disease, which can be suffered for weeks.

Number of leeches: 2-3 leeches per procedure. The exposure is maximum (until the leeches fall off on their own).

Number and frequency of sessions: at first, sessions are held daily until the acute pain is relieved.

Combination with other methods of naturopathy: after the acute pain is relieved, hirudotherapy is supplemented with methods that reduce venous plethora of the pelvic organs: gymnastics, massage, intestinal lavage, liver cleansing, and the fight against constipation.
