Treatment of ENT diseases with medical leeches
Vasomotor rhinitis, diseases of the paranasal sinuses.
The disease, often accompanied by copious nasal discharge, nasal congestion, difficulty breathing through the nose, can often be of an allergic nature. The use of hirudotherapy is especially effective in cases of mucous membrane edema. Leeches can also be used to treat nasal polyps, which often occur against the background of allergic rhinitis.

Leech attachment zones
- Middle face zone — paranasal points 1 and 6, points 1, 2, 3, 5 in the projection of the nasal sinuses.
- Intranasal points — zone of the lower third of the nasal septum.
Features of the procedures.
As a rule, procedures are performed on symmetrical points. Leeches should only be attached to the nasal septum by a doctor!
Number of leeches: 2-3 attachments per procedure.
Number and frequency of sessions: if vasomotor rhinitis occurs with blood stagnation, breathing improves after the first procedure. Procedures are performed every 2-3 days. The course of treatment is 5-7 sessions. When treating allergic rhinitis, it is necessary to connect zones for the treatment of allergic conditions.
