Hirudotherapy for chronic pancreatitis
Chronic pancreatitis is a fairly widespread disease among the population. More often it proceeds in a latent form and is caused by a complex violation of the work of the gastrointestinal tract. It is accompanied by pain in the epigastric region and a violation of the normal process of digestion and absorption of the food. Hirudotherapy is an effective means of treating this disease and is most indicated in the presence of signs of venous congestion of the abdominal organs.

Chronic pancreatitis, diseases of the pancreas
Leech application zones.
- Anterior abdominal zone - points 1 and 2 along the midline (as a rule, they are slightly painful in pathology); a very effective application of leeches to points 3 and 4 of maximum pain in the left half of the anterior abdominal zone.
- Lumbothoracic zone: point 11 along the midline at the level of the 11th, 12th thoracic and point 12 in the region of the thoracic - 1st lumbar vertebrae and two transverse fingers outward from them (points 13 and 14, 15 and 16).
- Hepatic zone - the area of the right hypochondrium (points 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
- Sacral zone: points 17 and 18 in the area of the end of the coccyx, points 19 and 20 of the sacral projections.
Peculiarities of the procedures.
As a rule, the points of zones 1 and 2 are alternated. It is very important to find the points with the maximum pain, which gives the most pronounced result. The points of zones 3 and 4 are included in the treatment scheme in the presence of signs of venous plethora of the abdominal organs.
Number of leeches: 3-5 leeches per procedure.
Number and frequency of sessions: 3 leeches per procedure, carried out every other day, then twice a week up to 7-9 leeches per course of treatment.
Combination with other methods of naturopathy: isolated chronic pancreatitis is practically not found. The treatment program is aimed at restoring the work of the entire gastrointestinal tract. Procedures for cleansing the body, a rational diet, phytotherapy and breathing exercises according to the Strelnikova methodology, which effectively improves the condition of the internal organs of the abdominal cavity, are recommended.
