  • Local points - on the zone of tissue edema and in the immediate vicinity of it.
  • Hepatic zone - the area in the projection of the right hypochondrium (points 4, 5, 6) and point 3 at the top of the xiphoid process.
  • Sternum zone - point 2 along the midline at the level of the attachment of the V rib.
  • Thyroid gland area.

Number of leeches: 1-4 leeches per procedure, depending on the local prevalence.

Number and frequency of sessions: the first 4-5 procedures are carried out every other day. The duration of the course is determined by the prevalence and severity of the process, as a rule, no more than 10-12 sessions. Then the course of treatment can be repeated.
